A suite of neutron diagnostics is being designed and manufactured by the Domestic Agencies (DAs). Following First Plasma (FP) and as ITER ramps up toward Fusion Power Operation (FPO), the neutron diagnostics will be integrated to the tokamak and will become progressively functional. Accuracy of 10% is demanded to the absolute measurement of the fusion power on ITER. To achieve this accuracy, a comprehensive strategy involving characterization of the detectors by the DAs, in-vessel neutron diagnostic calibration, diagnostic cross-calibration using reference plasma shots, neutron transport calculations and synthetic measurement simulations must be carefully planned and carried out. This workshop aims at gathering experts in neutron diagnostic, metrology, simulation and modeling in order to advise the ITER Organization (IO) on the calibration procedures of the ITER neutron diagnostics.
