Mission accomplished!

All Toroidal Field Coils have safely arrived on site.

It’s been a long journey – from the first conceptual designs to the production of prototypes to the manufacturing of the

actual components and finally their voyage across the oceans to the ITER site in France.

The completion of the 19 Toroidal Field Coils is one of the most impressive achievements of the ITER project. Their superconducting strands together count 87,000 km of Nb3Sn wire, but they are bigger than the sum of their parts as they signal a new beginning for the superconductor industry.

Fabrication and safe delivery are the result of a world-spanning cooperation led by teams in Europe and Japan in coordination with the ITER Organization, demonstrating technical excellence and strong collaboration with industry and laboratories.

We are extremely proud of this important achievement and would like to invite you to join us for this special celebration.

The registration page is open!

Details of the Programme will be available at the beginning of May.
