DESCRIPTION:The 19th Technical Meeting on Energetic Particles in Magnetic
Confinement Systems aims to provide a forum to discuss the status of exper
imental and theoretical work on suprathermal electrons and ions in a wide
variety of magnetic confinement geometries\, and to discuss theoretical an
d computational physics issues relevant to burning plasmas.\nThe event wil
l focus on the formation and transportation of energetic particles\, inclu
ding their confinement properties. It will provide a detailed account of t
he location of lost energetic particle incidence on first wall components\
, the collective instabilities driven by energetic particles and their imp
act on plasma properties in different operational scenarios\, and energeti
c particle diagnostics. It will aim\, in particular\, at identifying curre
nt physics issues and gaps associated with energetic particles in ITER and
future fusion power plants.\n \nAbstract submission and registration\n\n
